From Stuttgart Airport, around 13 km and about 17 minutes by car, S-Bahn lines S2 and S3 reach the main station in 27 minutes. Bad Cannstatt station is just over 2 km away. The centre, with Schlossplatz, the New Palace and the Kunstmuseum, is around 25 minutes on foot or a quick bus ride; on the way you pass the Staatsgalerie. Car lovers head to the Mercedes-Benz Museum, only about 2.5 km away. Architecture fans should visit the Weissenhof Estate, about 2.4 km away, while the TV Tower offers panoramic views over the city. In late September and early October the Cannstatter Volksfest fills the Wasen, best reached by bus and train rather than by car, and from late November the Christmas market opens in the city centre. Stuttgart is most pleasant from spring to autumn, as winters are cold. The Porsche Museum is about 6 km away. For a day out, Ludwigsburg Residential Palace is about 12 km away.
